QuestionWhy does Concerta cause headaches?
I started taking Concerta for ADHD a few weeks ago. It has worked well, with only a decrease in appetite.
For the past week, I have developed mild headaches after taking it. I also look pale and seem generally unwell when they occur.
Do the headaches go away after a while, as your body gets used to the medication???

I had too Headaches went away when I started taking it with breakfast instead of on an empty stomach. Also, make sure you drink way more water than usual, as it dehydrates you.
When I took Concerta on an empty stomach, it was a nightmare of stress and headaches, and I couldn't eat anything afterward. The better and more protein-rich my breakfast was, the better Concerta worked.

Ahhh, that makes sense. I drink tons of water already, so that’s not a concern. Eating in the am will be hard, but I can try for sure. Thank you so much for the help!!!
They will likely go away. Drinking lots of water might help.
