The parts the leaflet leaves out
NeuroDB is where neurodivergent people compare notes on what their medication is really doing — written by the people taking it, for people whose weeks look like theirs.
How it works
Four steps, and none of them ask who you are
You do not have to be yourself here
Pick a name that is not your own. It is the only thing anyone sees, so you can be honest about what is happening.
Find people on what you are on
The ADHD, anxiety and depression rooms. Whatever you were prescribed for, the people there are managing the same thing.
Read what actually happened
Not a leaflet listing every possible effect. The week somebody had on your dose, in their own words.
Then help the next person
Someone three weeks behind you is looking for exactly what you just went through. Your bad month is their answer.
Say it without your name on it
Nobody asks a stranger about their libido, their sleep or their flat weeks under their real name. Here you do not have to.
- A pseudonym is the only thing anyone sees
- Change it later if you picked one you regret
People on the same thing as you
Separate rooms for ADHD, anxiety and depression, so the replies come from people managing the same condition rather than a general audience.
- Replies from people with the same diagnosis
- Threads stay on one medication
Find the week you are having
Side effects, dosage questions, withdrawal, coping strategies, success stories. Someone starting a dose needs a different thread from someone tapering off.
- Withdrawal threads when that is your week
- Success stories on the days you need them
Know where someone is coming from
An optional line beside your posts saying what you take and how much, so nobody has to ask. Worth weighing, though: a specific dose can identify you to someone who knows you.
- Context without a round of questions
- Leave it blank, or clear it at any time
Read for as long as you like
Every post and every reply is readable without an account. Nobody has to sign up to find out whether this is a place they want to be.
- No account needed to read anything
- Join when you have something to say
Nobody posts into a void
Threaded replies so an answer sits under its question, and a way to tell someone their post helped without having to write a paragraph.
- Replies from people who have been there
- Report anything that could get someone hurt
Nobody should have to work this out alone
Whatever your medication is doing to you, someone here has had the same week. The apps are on the way — the community is already here, in your browser.
