QuestionHelp me to understand how it words ( Concerta 36 )
When I first started taking Concerta, the thoughts and daydreams disappeared, and the dose was 18 mg. But this didn't last, even with increased doses. I started analyzing things again, and the thoughts were relentless. However, I have the ability to switch off and focus if I direct my attention to something. I also exert effort to resist distractions in routine tasks so I can maintain focus and complete the task. The difference from the beginning is that my focus used to last longer without any effort on my part. Now, what happens is attention and focus ◀️ distraction ◀️ I notice I'm distracted ◀️ focus ◀️ distraction, and the cycle repeats. Has anyone been able to solve this problem? Is it even a problem, or is it normal? 🥲 The first two weeks of the medication were like a honeymoon; no side effects, longer focus, and a calm, quiet mind. Now

I went through the same thing on Concerta, the honeymoon phase faded. Switched to Vyvanse and it's been working well for years now
I tried increasing the dose from 36 to 54 mg of Concerta, but I couldn't tolerate it; it was just anxiety. Talk to your doctor about increasing the dose from 36 mg to see what happens.
I tried to take 54; it really was good, but with many side effects like tension headache, muscle strain. He told me to increase it gradually, so I am on it
I plan to ask my doctor at my next appointment to prescribe Ritalin 10 mg as a maintenance dose in the afternoon along with Concerta 36 mg. I'm looking forward to trying Ritalin with Concerta and hope I can tolerate it better than the 18 mg Concerta with 36 mg Concerta, which I disliked. I think you might consider Ritalin with Concerta as well with your doctor.
